Support Bay View

John Manke is an active former Bay View resident who is involved in numerous neighborhood organizations, including the Bay View Historical Society, the Humboldt Park Fourth of July Association and the Shore Shore Farmers Market. He believes Bay View has a fine tradition in its past that we do not want to lose in the future.

The Grant Park Garden Club activities

The Grant Park Garden Club recently planted 325 geraniums at the Grant Park Club House and hopes to plant more flowers soon. The Garden Club was started in 2000 and provides educational programs, donates to Interfaith, gives a scholarship to a student from South Milwaukee High School and plants flowers and trees. The Garden Club is also helping plan the activities for the Grant Park Centennial Celebration to be held on Sunday, July 18th from 7 am thru 7 pm.  The Grant Park Garden Club is also installing a granite bench near the Grant Park Golf Clubhouse engraved with the names of members.  The Garden Club meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the South Milwaukee United Methodist Church, located at 1327 Marshall Avenue.  New members are always welcome to join. If you have any questions, please call Kathy Krause at 414-315-1277.  You can also call Penny Manke at 414-304-5039 or e-mail at: pmmanke@aol.com.
