A look at the indoor season honor roll!
With the Indoor Track season closing out, let's look at some of the local names (Brookfield and Wauwatosa) in the Track & Field honor rolls.
First, the girls.
Katie Tolan, a senior from Brookfield East, has the fourth-best time (2:21.92) in the 800-meter run at the Nelson-Daniels on March 19.
Hannah Trasser, senior from Brookfield Central, has the sixth best time (5:17.61) in the 1600-meter run at the Peter Rempe Cardinal Relays on March 26.
Elizabeth Flatley, a freshman from Brookfield Central, is sixth in the 3200-meter run (11:24.85) at the Lois Wolf Invitational on March 29 and 12th (5:21.05) in the 1600-meter run at the Peter Rempe Cardinal Relays on March 26.
Laura Werking, a junior from Brookfield East, has the 10th best time (5:18.74) in the 1600-meter run at the Nelson Daniels on March 19.
Senior Kara Krugel of Brookfield Central was 14th in the triple jump (34-feet, 1/4 inch) at the Peter Rempe Cardinal Relays on March 26.
Lauren Engelhart, junior from Brookfield East, is 17th in the triple jump (33-9 1/2) at the Doug Johnson Invite on March 25.
Jade Race, a junior from Brookfield East, was 18th in the pole vault (9-6) at the Doug Johnson Invite on March 25. With a cool name like Race, she should be a sprinter.
On the boys side, here's a quick look.
Brookfield Academy senior Fred Willis is fourth in the 55-meter dash (6.56) at the Lake Michigan Invite on March 26.
Aaron Dillon, a Brookfield East senior, is first in the 55-meter high hurdles (7.61) at the Nelson-Daniel on March 19. He is also 8th in the high jump (6-4) at the Lake Michigan Invite on March 26.
Senior Keith Brown of Wauwatosa West is second in the 55-meter high hurdles (7.63) at the Nelson-Daniel on March 19.
Aaron Thompson, Brookfield East senior, is second in the 200-meter dash (22.59) in the AAU Northern National Indoor and 9th in the 55-meter (6.62) at the Nelson-Daniel on March 19.
The Brookfield East 4x200 relay team is second (1:34.89) at the Lake Michigan Invite on March 26.
The Brookfield East 4x400 relay is third (3:33.61) at the Lake Michigan Invite on March 26.
Brookfield East junior Kyle Rohde is third in the triple jump (44-10 1/4) in the Nelson-Daniel on March 19.
Brookfield East senior Darius Barnes is tied for third in the high jump (6-6) at the Lake Michigan Invite on March 26.
The Brookfield East 4x800 relay is third (8:09.97) at the Madison West Relays on April 2.
The Wauwataosa West 4x200 relay is fourth (1:34.98) at the Nelson-Daniel on March 19.
Brookfield East senior Ron Langdon is 9th in long jump (21-11 1/4) at the Madison West Relays on April 2.
The Wauwatosa East 4x800 relay is 10th (8:29.58) in the Madison West Relays on April 2.
George Kotsonis, Brookfield East senior, is 11th in 55-meter high hurdles (7.94) at the Madison West Relays on April 2.
Carl Hirsch, a Brookfield Central sophomore, is 18th in the 3200 (9:58.05) at the Lake Michigan Invite on March 26.
