Tom "Sky" Skibosh covers the Wauwatosa, Brookfield and New Berlin prep scene for Community Newspapers. If something is going on in local sports, Sky has an opinion about it. If you agree or not with what Sky says, we want to see your comments.
One of my New Year's resolutions will be to update my blog more often.
My blog will cover items from the professional teams - Brewers, Bucks and Packers - to the prep teams that I cover in Brookfield, Tosa and New Berlin.
Sometimes I will share my thoughts about things in general. Blogs are nice, because you can talk about topics you can't always write about in print because of a lack of space in the paper. My philosophy for the print/community website coverage is covering the prep events and getting results and kids names in the paper and that takes space, especially in the Fall and the Spring.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
The other day my son-in-law Nick told me I was tied for first place. My answer was 'In what?' Every year I get in his college bowl pool because he asks me and it gives me some interest in at least looking for the results of a bowl game. Sometimes I will watch if there is an outstanding pro prospect at a skill position that will be drafted. But basically - except for the Badgers - I am not 'into' college football. In fact my team name is 'Here's my donation.'
NEW YEAR'S EVE PLANS
I will watch Marquette's Big East opener tonight and the Bucks game also, bringing me up to the midnight. I will then kiss my lovely wife, Kathy, and fall asleep.I hope to relax and watch some of the bigger games on NY's Day, mainly the Badgers.
So for now, have a safe and Happy New Year!
