LOWERING the property tax levy. Cut government employees and expenses.

I think his first priority should be to stop the stupid $800,000.00 study on new clover leaf interchanges. I believe Mayor Speaker broke a tie vote to get that going as one of his last activities before he was voted out. $800 grand on the bottom line would show our citizens that Ponto means business about cutting useless political spending and to get off this interchange thing once and for all. It is simply not needed! We'll see how he does from here. Speaker did not listen to the people's message and now he's on the outside looking in. Ponto can make a difference if he truly wants to.

Mike, you've hit the nail on the head! With an interchange not appearing in either Brookfield's or Wisconsin's long term plans, it's a complete waste of money to spend a dime on any studies for one. It is indeed a simple and way for Ponto to prove he's fiscally responsible. I hope he passes the test!

Get the school district to implement a 4K program to compete with neighboring comm and keep our property values up.

Ponto voted for the study and flipped his vote to get elected,he's not taking it out. Maybe we should ask Ponto why he wants to put a company car back in the budget that was taken out during Speakers term

The mayor should examine the budget from a "zero base" aspect, to see where unneccessary expenses are hidden. Then build a new budget based on "needs" vs "wants." We can't afford any more "wants" right now.

Continue running the city not the school district. Forget the 4K program and direct the wealthy parents to send their kids to private day care centers.

I believe that the mayor needs to concentrate on picking up a few solid pitchers for the Brewers this season. No one else seems to be working on it!
