How they are chosen
Germantown's Zak Showalter elevated his game this season, combining explosive jumping ability with a studious approach to the sport that left opponents grasping at air. He is the All-Suburban Player of the year for the 2010-11 season.
Take a closer look at the All-Suburban Team in this interactive guide.
Germantown's Malcolm Bowers was his team's defensive specialist, taking on players of all heights and helping the Warhawks to a 24-2 overall mark. The senior also scored more than 10 points per game and led the squad in rebounding and steals.
Wauwatosa East's Darrell Bowie led his team in scoring and rebounding while earning a spot on the All-Suburban Team and the Greater Metro Conference first team. But he's not satisfied just yet.(1)
New Berlin West senior Chad Mathwig is on the All-Suburban team for the second consecutive season. He's the all-time leading scorer in Vikings history and a two-time conference player of the year.
Brookfield Central's Alex Olson, who led online voting for this season's All-Suburban Team, was named to the Greater Metro Conference first team and nearly became the school's all-time assists leader.
Whitnall's Stephen Pelkofer added to his family's rich hoops lineage this season, leading the Falcons to a 17-8 overall mark and a regional title while earning a spot on the All-Suburban Team.(1)
6-7 senior Nick Romanowski earned his second consecutive selection to the All-Suburban Basketball team while leading Franklin to an 18-6 mark that could be the best in school history.(1)
Whitefish Bay's Ron Patten and Jamie Schneck were a formidable 1-2 punch for the Blue Dukes this season. Both developed as leaders and helped Bay to the Division 2 state title.
Eisenhower freshman Reed Timmer made an immediate impact in varsity play, leading the Lions in scoring, steals and assists. He is the first frosh to make the team since J.P Tokoto three seasons ago.

Whitefish Bay coach Kevin Lazovik, a reserve guard on the Blue Dukes' 1998 state champion team, came full circle this season and led his alma mater to the Division 2 state title.

The latest on Menomonee Falls basketball star J.P. Tokoto, one of the top prep players in the nation.
Dunk you very much: Tokoto put on a slam clinic after a recent practice.
Most recent game: On the heels of Tokoto's decision to attend the University of North Carolina, Menomonee Falls bowed out in the first round of the playoffs in a nail-biting loss to Waukesha South. The question now turns to whether or not Tokoto returns for his senior season with Menomonee Falls. The Indians finished the year 11-12.
Season stats: Tokoto averages 20.5 points per game, fifth among Milwaukee-area players with at least 13 games played.
Next level: Rivals.com lists Tokoto as the No. 40 prospect in the nation among 2012 recruits. He announced he would be attending the University of North Carolina on March 3. Check out our photo gallery and archived video from the event.
